The count-down to summer has begun! In many cases it began months ago…
As the summer is drawing near we wanted to take a moment to share with you the Summer Training Schedule. The beginning of August will provide you with quite a few training opportunities! Please see the list below. The list tells you the date, time, and Section number in ASCEND to make it easier to sign up.
Pay special attention to the Promethean and Smart trainings. Be sure you are signing up for the training that meets the needs for your campus. If you are on a campus that has Smart Boards and sign up for a Promethean training you will not be able to attend.

Creating learning activities requires careful thought about the skills you want learners to gain and the way in which they are presented. This course, stemming from research conducted by the Stanford Research Institute, will give you a framework within which to assess your own learning activities with regards to student learning, advance your innovative teaching practices, and discuss them with others. Each session will focus on a specific dimension of learning and use actual teacher lesson plans as the basis for our conversations.
Attending all 8 sessions over the five weeks will earn you the “21st Century Learning Design Trained Educator” Designation.
