I have a question about changing uploaded documents. Do I have to save them to my H drive, change them, and then re-upload them again? I think I do but the result is that I have “Copy of whatever” now in addition to my original document. If I have to change it again now I have “Copy of Copy of whatever”. This process seems cumbersome. I thought I could do away with my H drive but if this is what I have to do then I may not be able to. IMaybe weblocker works best with documents that do not need to be changed?

You are correct. WebLockers is more of a place to share and store final documents. While it can be used for collaboration the process is not without its drawbacks. Rest assured that you will continue to have access to a true share drive (h). WebLockers is just one more tool we wanted to make available to you. Thanks for the feed back!

When will students be uploaded to WebLockers for LCHS? I want to use it from the very beginning.
Thanks,

How do you create folders in the Shared Folders tab of Weblockers. I’m thinking I did it last year with GJH Science 8– now I can’t remember how to do it. Thanks.

To create a new folder within a Shared Folder, browse to the location where you want the new folder. On the left side of the screen, under the file upload area, type the name of the new folder in the Name box, then click “Create Folder”. After the page refreshes, the new folder should now be listed in the Sub Folders list.
If you are wanting to a create a new folder on the main Shared Folder tab, that can only be created by someone with rights. That is something your campus CITS can do, but they would need to know who else the folder will be shared with to set the folder up.
