When trying to set up new Office 365 on my iPad I followed all the steps listed above, However, a server name is then asked for to continue. What do I input there?

What do we put in for the “server name” when setting up the new account on iPhone? After inputting lcisd email and password, I have to click next, and then it wants a server name (ex: owa.smarshexchange.com like our old one).

I cannot sign in on the web or with my iphone. I keep getting a message that the account information cannot be verified, and that the password is incorrect.

You might need to delete the old account first…I did find that to be the case on one iPhone that I setup

FYI Everyone: I too had trouble with my password. I had been issued a new password a year ago. It seems that the old password is what has been established, not my new one. So if you have received a new password for some reason, you might try your old one.

This is true, however, you should still call the help desk at 832-223-0220 to let them know. Network services is working to ensure that all users have their correct/current passwords setup correctly.

I was successful setting email up on my Ipads after a few tries, but can’t get it to work on my phone. How do I set up the email account on my Android phone?

I’m sorry, but we can’t provide specifics for an Android phone because there are so many types and software variations. I can give you all the connection settings but I can’t tell you where on your phone to enter them.
•Connection type: Exchange server
•Server Address: outlook.office365.com
•Domain: leave blank
•Username: your full email address

I am really sorry if this is a silly question, but why does the android say that accessing the Office 365 email allows the administrator to delete everything on my phone, change passcode, etc? Is that just some standard precaution?

I am sending emails from office 365; however, people are not getting them. They end up finding them in the old email program. What do I do?

Maria, It sounds like the emails are still being sent from the old account. That’s the only way they can still arrive at the old inbox. Your best bet is to delete the old account from your iPad

when i delete an email off my phone the email is automatically deleted of my office 365 inbox. i also have a hotmail account that i can manage in the advanced section that has options to delete from the server or not. how can i fix this so emails are only deleted from the iphone not the server.

Fred, our Office 365 email is based on a Microsoft Exchange server while your Hotmail connection is something called POP3. An Exchange connection from your mobile device to the email server is more robust than a POP3 connection. This is why the delete function is more powerful (which is not something you want at this point). You can remove the Exchange connection to Office 365 in Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars and set it up again as a POP3 account (Office 365 allows either). Understand that you will no longer have the full experiance an Exchange connection provides such as instant email push (POP3 updates are slower), full calendar integration etc. Here is a link with instructions for both setups with Office 365.
