It is with bittersweet emotions that we wish Melissa well as she transitions to a campus position as the Science and ELA facilitator for Briscoe Junior High.  We will miss Melissa greatly on our team! She was a fantastic contributor to the team and has helped advance technology integration on her campuses by leaps and bounds.  While we are sad to see her go, we are excited about this new opportunity for her and look forward to interacting with her in this new position.

Her transition leaves an opening on the Secondary CITS team that we are eager to fill.  While the job description is posted on our HR site , I wanted to tell those interested a little bit about the position and about Lamar CISD.

We are a fast growing district serving more than 26,000 students on 32 main campuses.  Our teachers and students are a joy to work with. If you have been following this web site, you have seen some of the amazing work they do. This position would allow you to impact hundreds of teachers and thousands of students where it counts…in the classroom!  The primary role of a LCISD CITS (Campus Instructional Technology Specialist) is technology integration in the classroom!  While the team does provide some degree of technical support, we focus on the role technology plays in the curriculum.
